  • The Fall MSCS Welcome Event will be held on Tuesday, September 13th @ 6pm in Sierra 1422. All students are welcome to attend and learn more about the Masters program in Computer Science at CI. Faculty will also provide a quick overview of their research agendas. Current MS students and potential MS students are strongly encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served!
  • The CI Cyber Defense Club is launching Fall 2016. If you want to learn what it takes to stop hackers or gain valuable real-world experience securing computer networks, then consider joining the CI Cyber Defense Team and compete in the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition against other colleges and universities.   • Prof. Thoms' co-authored paper, "Learning Effects of Attention Guidance in Online Discussions," to be presented at the Americas Conference on Information Systems on August 12, 2016 in San Diego, CA.

  • Congratulations to student researchers Sara Colon Cerezo,  Nicole Dubin and Rafael Hernandez for their hard work during Project Acceso in June! Together, along with Prof. Thoms, they performed data mining research and constructed new social software.
