The Edison scholarship is for incoming students who are interested in studying Mechatronics Engineering at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). Three scholarships worth over $3,000 are available for first-time, first-year students.
While all first-time freshman students applying for the 2023-2024 academic year may apply for the scholarship, we are looking for students who value academic excellence and school involvement. As such, in addition to the regular scholarship application, students must complete an additional essay question:
- Write a brief statement and tell us why you are interested in studying Mechatronics Engineering.
To be eligible for a CI University Scholarship you must:
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12+ units each semester.
- Must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), OR, Dream Act Application.
- Have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Be a California resident or AB540 student
- Two letters of recommendation uploaded to your online scholarship application
